Artist
Series’ Arioso Strings will present a concert for two violins and piano.
Violinists
Natalie VanBurkleo-Carbonara and Batya MacAdam-Somer and pianist Sophie
Christian will perform
works by Shostakovich, Handel and Bach. Free-will donations will be
taken to
benefit Horses Helping Humans. The performance is family-friendly and
will run
approximately one hour

Now in its 22nd season, these performances are a highly-anticipated
local event, proving to be among the best Messiah performances in the
Twin Cities. You will be amazed with the timeless sounds of Handel’s
masterpiece
This year’s soloists will be soprano,
Linh Kauffman; mezzo,
Nicole Warner;
tenor,
Brad
Bradshaw; and bass,
Aaron Larson.
Caritas – “love in
action” – is what brings this
a few water-themed pieces in the program plus a variety of other
selections, from romantic Mendelssohn to close-harmony Barbershop. It is
Caritas’ 10th anniversary, and the group is excited to perform at St.
John’s for the 10th year in a row.

The Metropolitan Boys Choir was hailed “Minnesota’s Young
Ambassadors of Song” by the late Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey, and
they continue to stir audiences throughout the U.S. and internationally.
They’ve sung the national anthem at MN Vikings, Twins and Wild games,
performed with the Minnesota Orchestra, and have been featured
performers at many state and national conferences. Now in its 39th
season, the MBC regularly appears in churches, concert halls, convention
centers and senior residences throughout the Twin Cities.

parent of two boys, and middle school teacher gave a presentation
geared especially to children but
appealling to all ages. We experienced
the many unique sounds created by instruments that are part
of the ancient family known as percussion.

Gabriel Faure’s Requiem

St. John’s Oratorio Chorus, soloists and chamber orchestra.
Of the many Requiem masses, Faure’s is one of the most widely
known and loved. The tender “Pie Jesu” for solo soprano is its
centerpiece. This work was the featured work in the first spring
concert for this chorus in 2000.
Tacos and Trumpets

Ron Hasselmann presented an engaging program for children
of all ages featuring the trumpet, from its beginnings as an
animal’s horn, to today’s brilliant instrument, using nine
different trumpets.
