Strings and Wings
Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 12:00 PM
Do you want to see a 100-year old golden harp? Have the
opportunity to interact with and hear "Heavenly Harpist"
Emily Gerard, a Carnegie Mellon Masters graduate and harp
teacher at MacPhail Center for Music? Then join us in the
Fellowship Hall for lunch and a fun harp demonstration. Ms.
Gerard will engage kids of all ages as she introduces this string
instrument and its history, how its strings and pedals work, and
plays a mini-concert to demonstrate its many sounds. Chicken
wings (nuggets for the little ones) and accompanying fare will be on
the menu. Invite your friends and family to attend this
"angelic event".
