ST. JOHN'S MUSIC SERIES 2011-2012 SEASON
Welcome to a new SJMS season.
The 2011-12 St. John’s Music Series season will
start off with an exciting
Especially for Kids event – “Handbells and Hot Dogs”! Joyce Larson
will lead
this event, along with other talented ringers from the congregation.
This
should be a wonderful, interactive event, so watch for sign-ups and
bring
the whole family for an hour or two of musical fun. New to the SJMS
this
year is the Summit Artist Series’ Arioso Strings. This trio (two
violins and
piano) will perform several works by well-known composers. This year
marks our 22nd annual performance of Handel’s Messiah, our music
series’
signature event. Try something new this year and invite someone who
has
never heard this work before – they will be so grateful for the
invitation!
Caritas Vocal Ensemble joins us again in the spring for a benefit
concert
to support the TRUST Parish Nursing Program – a vital service in our
community. Finally, we invite you to join us during Holy Week for
services
filled with beautiful, moving music.
